The “You Set The Tone Duo” works across skin tones and states to help deliver skin clarity, uniformity, brightness, bounce and radiance to all skins whilst simultaneously being thoughtful of darker skin melanin sensitivities such as irritation, darkening and rebound pigmentation. The Triphala Pigmentation Corrector (30ml) targets uneven skin tone, stubborn hyperpigmentation and dark spots whilst the overnight Complexion Clarifying Accelerator (30ml) works to amplify results of the Triphala Pigmentation Corrector, helping to lift discolourations, smoothen fine lines and wrinkles and boost clarity as it targets blemishes, congestion and stimulates cell turnover to illuminate the skin with a new level of clarity.

Complexion Clarifying Accelerator
Use 2-3 times a week or consecutively over 2-3 days for an intense brightening and clarifying effect as the accelerator continues to work into the skin each consecutive night that it is applied working to lift discolourations, resurface, fade blemish marks, target breakouts and brighten. It can also be used to spot treat in the evening over a stubborn breakout or hyperpigmentation mark to accelerate the lifting of discolourations and can be used as a quick Enzyme acid mask for 25 minutes.

Caution
This product contains AHAs that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly of sunburn. Always use an SPF the morning after and reapply every 2 hours. **Due to the BHA content, we recommend consulting your doctor if you are pregnant/breastfeeding. **As with all of our products we always recommend conducting a patch test on your skin prior to use. **Please note AHA/BHA/PHA all have an element and risk of irritation since these are exfoliating treatments. **If you are using any prescription medicines please consult with your prescribing doctor before use.

The Triphala Pigmentation Corrector was specially formulated in our lab with all skins in mind, understanding the nuances that make up each skin tone and state. For example, there are two types of melanin in our skin: Eumelanin is black or brown pigment and Pheomelanin is a reddish yellow pigment. Each skin tone will have varying levels of this pigment and the serum works to target yellowish undertones and redness.
Formulated without: Hydroquinone, Retinoids, AHA/BHAs, Essential oils and Fragrances to respect skins with greater melanin skin sensitivities.

Complexion Clarifying Accelerator was created to address breakouts and hyperpigmentation at the same time. During the formulation process, we balanced exfoliants, potent brighteners, blemish clarifying agents with essential nutrients and soothers that would calm and soothe the skin whilst supporting the delicate skin barrier to help reduce the risk of irritation and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation associated with other alpha hydroxy acid formulations whilst still being efficacious.
Formulated to be dramatically effective without the use of high % low molecular weight AHA’s and without fragrance, essential oils, silicones for those with sensitive skins who requested this.
Sustainability:Beginning with the formulation of our products - we purposefully create multitaskers that minimise the need for single ingredient products, game changing pots that target several skin concerns in just one bottle. Essentially doing more for your skin with less.
We also take care in responsibly sourcing our ingredients, for example our Manuka Honey UMF20+ is sourced from sustainable bee farming practices in New Zealand. We also prioritise environmentally-friendly materials when it comes to our packaging choices, using FSC-certified (Forestry Stewardship Council) materials in our outer packaging and soy-based inks. Our plastic airless pumps are also smaller than industry standard airless jar pumps, reducing the use of voluminous plastic packaging of products.
Why should I use the You Set The Tone Duo Kit over just the Triphala Pigmentation Corrector or Complexion Clarifying Accelerator?
Addressing hyperpigmentation requires a multi-step routine with brightening ingredients maximised in each step or layer to deliver the most promising skin transformative results. We recommend you to pair the Triphala Pigmentation Corrector with either the Complexion Clarifying Accelerator or Ursolic Acid & Retinal Overnight Reform to enhance Triphala’s performance and increase the rate at which your hyperpigmentation, discoloration and dark spots fade.
We also recommend to complete your routine with SPF 30-50 daily and other barrier enhancing products.
Should I get the You Set the Tone Duo or You Set the Tone Duo II?
Both kits will help towards your goal for brighter, clearer and healthy looking skin.
The You Set the Tone Duo will be geared more towards those focusing on texture, post blemish scarring, skin roughness and clarity concerns (such as blemishes and hyperpigmentation) for smoother, brighter, more bouncy skin.
The You Set the Tone Duo II will be for those who are more concerned about well ageing, firmness, sun damage or generally prefer a retinoid approach over acids.

How should I start using the You Set The Tone Duo?
Always include one product at a time in your routine. Start with the Triphala Pigmentation Corrector, once your skin is acclimated to this, you can then look to introduce the Complexion Clarifying Accelerator into your routine.
When incorporating the Complexion Clarifying Accelerator (we say add this at least 7 days after the first product use start slowly with once a week use. Apply a very thin layer and gradually increasing frequency to 1-2 times a week OR more depending on your skin tolerance.
The accelerator is a concentrated gel cream working to retexturize the skin especially after scarring and helping lift pigmented cells. It can be used more frequently as a spot treatment or over a post acne scar for skin smoothing effects and brightening.

Absolutely. This is for anyone looking for gentle but effective exfoliation without the usual irritation or sensitivity. This highly concentrated blend of brighteners, regenerators and enzyme acid create a dramatic improvement in the skin’s texture, tone, radiance and bounce. It also targets fine lines, wrinkles and promotes cell renewal for healthy looking skin. Some of the key ingredients like Dioic Acid have shown some wonderful clinical success against more stubborn conditions like Melasma & severe hyperpigmentation. While powerful, this product is gentle on the skin.
We always recommend that you check with your doctor before using
any product.
We make sure to avoid irritants in our formula. However, due to the nature of acids, we recommend doing a patch test on the face before using the product and if no irritation occurs, start once a week use and gradually increase frequency to 1-2 times or 1-3 times if your skin does not have adverse reactions to the product. We also recommend you use a very thin layer over a light cream (buffering use) for your first few applications to avoid the risk of irritation.
After conducting Patch and Ocular tests in the lab, the side effects associated with the Complexion Clarifying Accelerator were mild to none. However, as with any exfoliant we always recommend you conduct a patch test and wait 24 hours before using the product. Some may experience a slight tingling sensation on the first few applications.
This will stop after a while.
For maximised and amplified results, we highly recommend you pair this cream with the Triphala Pigmentation Corrector to more directly tackle hyperpigmentation and discoloration issues to support the skin's brightness and youthfulness.
